Comments | Largest batch Gene can do, was an experiment, would not do again as I don't need that much coffee and also it might (just guessing), put more strain on the element) no problems though. It also will roast much faster with a larger temperature gradient across the chamber. So indicated temperature is far lower than the beans actually get! hence the profiles I used | |||

Comments | Was going to go easy on this one and try to roast it without applying too much heat, but still keeping the roast times within 17m. Roasted fairly quickly as was a warm day and the aged coffee would tend to roast faster. Being VERY careful not to let the temperature get too hot to avoid any scorching. The roaster reached 232c in 9m 50s and I decided to hold the temperature at 232 for a while or until 1st started. Indeed the correct decision as I never needed to increase the temperature beyond 232 for the rest of the roast! The cracks in OBJ are marked and easy to hear | |||
